Tom Chapman

Tom Chapman is a principal with Teewinot Partners, a multi-family investment office in Jackson Wyoming.  Additionally, Tom is a founder and partner for Valparaiso Investment Fund in Singapore. Previously, Tom was a founding member of Colony Capital’s Asian real estate business, based in Singapore. He also worked at Tiger Management in New York. He started his career at Tudor Investment Corporation as a proprietary global macro trader in London. 

 

Tom also serves on the Investment Funds Committee for the Wyoming State Treasurer’s Office advising on the $21 billion of funds.  He currently serves on the Research Committee of the JDRF having served on its International Board and Executive Committee. He was chair of the Investment and Nominating/Governance Committees.  Mr. Chapman serves as a board observer with ViaCyte Inc.  He is chair of the Investment Committee of the Francis Parker School endowment in San Diego.  He also currently serves on the Board of the Institute for Arts and Humanities at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.  

 

Locally, Tom serves on the Teton County Search and Rescue Board in Jackson.  

 

Tom received his BA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and his MBA from Columbia Graduate School of Business.

 

Tom has served on the Wyoming Retirement Systems Board since 2011 and has been the Investment Committee chair for the last 6 years.  He has served on the Audit, Deferred Compensation, and Governance Committees.  Tom is an at-large board member and lives in Jackson.
