Employers
Mission Statement
The Wyoming Retirement System’s mission is to provide expert administration and responsible investment of Wyoming’s public retirement and supplement savings programs.

WRS Pension Plans
By partnering with WRS, over 700 public employers throughout the state offer cost-effective benefits that help take care of the people who are taking care of Wyoming and its citizens. WRS’ pension plans are funded by member and employer contributions and offer a lifetime benefit once the member is eligible, providing financial security and independence in retirement.

457 Deferred Compensation Plan
In addition to pension benefits, WRS administers a 457 Deferred Compensation Plan. An employer’s participation in the plan allows employees to voluntarily contribute a portion of their salaries to a tax-advantaged supplemental retirement savings plan.

Retirement Educators
Please refer employees with retirement benefit questions to WRS and consider scheduling retirement educational activities at least once a year. WRS provides a range of in-person educational seminars and one-on-one counseling about retirement saving and investment issues.
