Membership and Financial Insights

Since 1953, the Wyoming Retirement System (WRS) has provided retirement benefits to public employees across the state. Today, WRS manages an $11.5 billion fund serving more than 82,000 active members and beneficiaries. The system is overseen by an 11-member Board that is legally required to act in the best interest of WRS members.

This document contains statistics about the membership of the Wyoming Retirement System, an overview of each WRS pension plan’s financial health, as well as insight and commentary from investment team members, WRS staff, and the Board.
