Task Force Studies Private Citizen Retirement
The Wyoming Retirement Security Task Force convened on August 13, 2018 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.The task force heard testimony from experts in the field regarding national trends and barriers to retirement saving, successful implementation in statewide and regional programs, and studies on public policy. The task force heard from experts such as Pew Charitable Trust, Boston College Center for Retirement Research, Center for Retirement Initiatives at Georgetown University, the State of Utah, Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, and the University of Wyoming.
During the legislative session, Senate File 116 / Senate Enrolled Act 62 established a task force to evaluate retirement security for private citizens.
The Task Force plans to meet on September 18 in Casper and October 19 in Laramie.
