Laura Ladd

Laura Ladd has over 25 years of experience in finance, strategic planning and general management.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, cum laude, from Pepperdine University and a Masters of Business from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2001, Ladd formed Hewitt Ladd, Inc., a management consulting business based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Hewitt Ladd specializes in real estate development, homeowners’ association management, valuing and selling privately held companies, and economic advice for new business and energy initiatives. From 2006-2010, she served as an Energy and Economics adviser to Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal.  She has provided expert witness testimony in utility and industrial siting cases on the topic of wind energy economics and financial assurance mechanisms.  She was also instrumental in developing the financial assurance framework for carbon capture and sequestration in Wyoming.

Laura is a Trustee and oversees the management and execution of a complex set of family Trusts.  She manages a number of private market investments in this capacity.  She holds numerous Board seats and officer positions related to these holdings.  She is also a Trustee of a privately held trust company, which offers trust, wealth management and multi-generational family office services. 
 
Ladd has served in an advisory capacity to the Powder River Energy Corp., Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, Hillwood Development Company and High Country Linen Supply. She also serves on the Boards of CLIMB Wyoming and the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum and on the Advisory Board of Compass Working Capital.  She is an emeritus board member of the Wyoming Women’s Foundation.
 
Laura has served on the Wyoming Retirement Systems Board since 2009 and served as Investment Committee Chair for 5 years and Board Chair for the last 3 years.  Ladd is an at-large board member and lives in Wilson.
